Job Summary
 

The Associate Director of Global Outreach will serve as an active team member of the Global Outreach team and serve as a member of the Admissions Committee. The Associate Director will oversee and implement recruiting strategies utilizing alumni to connect with prospective students in their network and to participate in recruiting events.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the Global Outreach team which is responsible for all virtual and in-person experiences for prospective and admitted students. Specifically focused on how to leverage alumni, corporate partners, and third party organizations to increase awareness of MBA opportunities at Chicago Booth.
  • Develops and implements communication plans for alumni audiences in order to increase alumni knowledge of the admissions process and the overall vision of the business school. This involves collaborating with Alumni Relations on quarterly/yearly communication plans, marketing pieces, and training events.
  • Collaborates with Booth’s industry/business sector focused centers (Kilts Center for Marketing, Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship, etc.) to create opportunities and execute activities for prospective and admitted students. 
  • Develops a long-term outreach and engagement strategy with key stakeholders, including alumni, corporate partners, admissions consultants, internal alumni relations, etc. This includes planning and marketing events to prospective students, alumni, and corporate partners.
  • Benchmark Chicago Booth programs and events against similar competitors and make recommendations on ways to enhance Chicago Booth’s programming and outreach. 
  • Current student and alumni volunteer management. Collaborates with the greater Admissions team to assess volunteer needs and source volunteers as needed. For example, the student Global Booth Ambassadors programs which utilizes current students to serve as country captains. These volunteers are resources to prospective students and host events in their home countries.
  • Researches and analyzes data on outreach team’s strategic projects, making recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Conducts MBA recruitment, evaluation, and yield activities. Duties include reading and evaluating applications; conducting interviews; mentoring Admissions Fellows and Regional Captains; traveling domestically and globally for the purpose of making presentations (both corporate and general information sessions); and attending various recruiting and yield events.
  • Expands outreach messaging via alumni clubs and special events and/or reunions. Maintains updated alumni contact records and cultivates new contacts in appropriate industries. Manages portfolio of prospective students that require special handling.
  • Manages regional event programming such as receptions and career trek field trips for students. Works independently to expand outreach to employers in the region.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
