Reporting to the Executive Director of the MCC, this is an exciting opportunity to use relevant knowledge and experience to contribute to maintaining and growing the corporate recruiting base for our Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Product Management (MSPM), Master of Business Analytics (MSBA) and Master in Management (MSM) programs. In this role, you will work within a matrixed career services team, serving as a key point of outreach and contact for corporate recruiters and alumni recruiting our dedicated students. You will be part of a top-ranked career services team providing world class services in support of student success with top employers.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Employer Relations:  Proactively and regularly connect with targeted employers to promote recruiting of our graduate students.

    • Raise employer awareness of Tepper's masters programs and students, unearth opportunities to cross-sell programs and identify the potential for deeper corporate engagements with the Tepper School.

    • Capture and disseminate company knowledge (hiring needs, sponsorship policies and recruiting cycles) to relevant partners. Maintain an up-to-date point of view on job market trends and relevant information, leading or contributing to periodic updates to students, staff and Tepper leadership.

    • Collaborate with the internal MCC Recruiting Team and MCC Coaches/Counselors to manage a comprehensive, matrixed employer relations outreach and development plan, including recommending appropriate strategies and avenues to engage with students.

  • Teamwork:  Cross-functional collaboration with Tepper student organizations, alumni, recruiters and other Tepper/Carnegie Mellon partners to support organizational goals and strong student employment outcomes.

  • Leadership and Communication:  Act as a committee lead or member, plan and implement collaborative recruiting events, travel to meet with employers as needed and join/support student treks as relevant. Act as an MCC liaison to a variety of internal and external partners.

  • Assessment and Reporting: Assist with tracking and reporting student employment outcomes following the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance’s Standards. Use data to effectively highlight outcomes, trends and make recommendations and decisions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:

Proven effectiveness working in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to travel domestically and (rarely) internationally. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals from graduate students, professional colleagues, faculty members and Deans, corporate recruiters and senior executives is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Minimum of five 3-5 years of recruiting, career services, consultative sales, business development or a combination of relevant experiences required; 5+ years of experience preferred

  • Deep familiarity with business functions/industries commonly pursued by Tepper graduate business students:  consulting, technology, financial services, healthcare, consumer goods, energy, others.

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

  • Ability to work independently and within a matrixed team environment.

  • Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence two days a week.
