The Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University seeks an Associate Director, Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility who will work with Executive Education leadership and team to manage all operational functions of the Institute of Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL) Program.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for this position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance program impact that aligns with program goals, managing program content, logistics, and participant onboarding, negotiating contracts, overseeing an annual program budget, and managing personnel. The ideal candidate will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of, or interest in, sustainability principles, and the ability to travel domestically 5 weeks per year. This multi-faceted position will be the primary contact for program participants and will include interfacing with internal and external stakeholders including board members and faculty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance program impact, ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Manage program content, and logistics, and facilitate programming, collaborating on content development.
  • Initiate and manage all logistical arrangements, including participant onboarding for year-long leadership development programs.
  • Oversee the application process ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience and provide support during the participant selection process.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects, such as venue selection, catering, and transportation.
  • Manage contracts with vendors, partners, and service providers, negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Develop and monitor an annual program budget, ensuring financial sustainability and adherence to allocated resources.
  • Provide financial reporting, including reporting to external program boards.
  • Maintain cost accounting for various educational programs, each with distinct income streams.

       Communication and Outreach:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries and IGEL network.
  • Maintain the IGEL website content and support the IGEL Communications Manager on communications and marketing efforts
  • Coordinate and communicate with external boards

Team Management and Support:

  • Supervise center staff, graduate students, and student assistants.
  • Provide support for faculty and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Coordinate with RCB center management.
  • Provide support to the IGEL Board.
  • Set and provide clear goals and performance expectations for team members
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encourage innovation and creativity within the team, and facilitate open and effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains and implement best practices and lessons learned from past experiences.

Flexible Work Schedules

This position is eligible for a flexible schedule and hybrid remote working that meet the needs of the employee and Robinson College.

  • Optional Retirement Plan -- ORP is a 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 9.24% to the plan. Employees are immediately vested.
  • Teacher Retirement System -- TRS is a Defined Benefit Plan, a traditional public pension plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 19.81% to the plan. Your retirement benefit is calculated by factoring in years of service, final salary, and a 2% multiplier. Employees are vested after 10 years.

Qualifications

: 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • The ability to maneuver boxes weighing up to 20 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods of time and partaking in outdoor activities during session trips like biking, hiking, and kayaking.

  • An experienced and dynamic leader with excellent organizational and management skills who fosters a culture of collaboration and trust and functions with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in sustainability or related fields.
  • Strong contract negotiation and management skills.

  • Familiarity with higher education institutions and their operational dynamics.
  • Schedule flexibility to include occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to travel domestically for up to 5 weeks per year.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive problems in a constructive, positive manner.
  • Personnel and administrative management skills; experience working effectively with faculty, University administrators, and advisory board members preferred.
  • Outstanding relationship skills and the ability to build rapport with internal and external constituents.

Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
