The Associate Director works closely with the Executive Director in shaping the vision and strategy, and in enhancing University and community partnerships. Lead the internal functioning of the Bronfman Center, including Development, Business and Operations, and Student Impact, providing excellent supervision to the managers in each area. Ensures internal alignment and efficient workflow. Accountable for meeting the quantitative and qualitative goals on an annual basis, including financial and student engagement targets. Supports Executive Director on major gifts, but is directly responsible for grants, annual fund, and board development. Integrates public facing programs, such as executive education, and research initiatives, to increase revenue and reputational assets.

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree
Required Experience:
5+ years of years relevant experience or equivalent, with at least three years in a leadership role in a Jewish or secular nonprofit, higher education, or related organization. Must include experience in supervision, fundraising, and education.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment. Experience in creating, revising, analyzing and presenting reports, including the development of metrics and standard protocols for measuring growth. Training in statistical analysis and/or project management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Acute attention to detail and a high level of professionalism. Ability to manage projects across various programs simultaneously, including prioritization and execution of multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines and working in a fast paced environment. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of alumni, parents, students, staff, faculty and other populations. knowledge of word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software required.. Proven success in strategic planning, team management, financial resource development, stakeholder relations, and inspiring pluralistic Jewish life. Strong knowledge base of Jewish content, ranging from traditional Jewish texts to contemporary Jewish wisdom, culture, and unconventional Jewish sources. Entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to take risks, and learn from experiences. Ability to create a space for diverse perspectives are heard.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office, Access and PowerPoint. Familiarity with budget management, including the development of expenditure projections. Experience with program development and evaluation, a plus. Adaptability to a variety of interpersonal interactions, both internally and externally. Hebrew Reading, Comprehension and Conversation.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $115,000 to USD $130,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
