The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an Associate Director of Transfer Recruitment. This is a leadership and recruiting position within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  This position will be responsible for managing undergraduate, first-time transfer and non-traditional student recruitment for both in-state and out-of-state populations.  The duties of this position include:

Recruitment

  • Organizes and implements recruitment plans for incoming transfer students within the state of Alabama and out-of-state populations.
  • Conducts information sessions and college visits within a small recruitment territory in Alabama and occasionally outside of Alabama.
  • Determines applicant admissibility based on requirements set by the university and individual departments 
  • Works with current UAB students to share UAB student stories with prospective applicants.
  • Leads the transfer admissions counselor team in coordination of transfer recruitment efforts by assigning territories, setting individual goals, and coordination of recruitment events in partnership with the Recruitment Events team.

Management

  • Responsible for the daily workflow of the department including employee training, work assignments, quality control of output, productivity standards, general office or unit management and customer service.
  • Provides topical instruction, guidance and problem resolution for the department providing strong customer service.
  • Provides technical instruction for the transfer recruitment team as it pertains to CRM utilization (Salesforce/Banner).
  • Assists in decisions regarding policy and procedure.
  • This position will be based on campus at UAB.

(Annual Salary:  $45,395  -  $55,000)

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related Higher Education experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Licensed with a Driver's License from the State of Alabama required.
