Position Description

This position is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Transfer and Adult Services for the Undergraduate Admissions Office at the University of Louisville, as well as the development, management, and oversight of transfer credit and test scores received by the University. Direct the planning, coordination and implementation of ULtra programs designed for recruitment efforts. To include overseeing the admissions recruitment plan for Jefferson Community Technical College (JCTC). The role will supervise all transfer recruitment efforts across Kentucky in conjunction with the direction of the Executive Director and strategic enrollment goals for the University. This position will manage transfer recruitment, admission, and credit articulation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, train, make hiring recommendations and evaluate 7 full time staff and indirectly supervise four full time staff in areas of transfer, JCTC and adult student recruitment.
  • Direct the overall admissions recruitment plan for community college transfers, 4 year transfers, readmits and adult students including scholarship programs. Participate in outreach programs designed to expand the base of students interested in UofL.
  • Manage the overall maintenance of transfer equivalencies and provide guidance over the establishment of equivalencies within guidelines of units for out-of-state institutions.
  • Oversee all technological resources used in the admittance and articulation of transfer students and their credit, to include Transfer Evaluation System (TES), PeopleSoft (PS), and SmartPanda.
  • Recommend, write, and maintain all policies and procedures for transfer to UofL. Review and make recommendations to academic units in regard to the University's policies regarding transfer credit and evaluation.
  • Advise and counsel prospective student applicants, parents and others seeking information and access to transfer to UofL. Review transfer admission applications on a daily basis.
  • Direct the planning, coordination and implementation of ULtra programs designed for advising and recruitment efforts. To include overseeing the admissions recruitment plan for JCTC and participation in outreach programs designed to expand the base of students interested in UofL.
  • Represents the Office of Admissions on various committee and initiatives within the institution and across the state. The committees include UWAC, GECC, Undergrad Council, CPE Statewide Transfer Group, all KCTCS transfer groups, etc.
  • Recommend, write, and maintain all policies and procedures for credit received by external exam/test scores to UofL, as well oversee the processing of all credit received from examinations and tests.
