Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

The Associate Director - Administration & Financial Operations serves as the Chief Administrative and Financial officer for the Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH). Responsible for the overall administrative operations including personnel, budget and finance, facilities, contracts, information systems, and research support functions of IREACH. Serve as a principal consultant and adviser to the Director on a wide range of strategic operations and personnel related issues. Provide effective accounting controls and maintains the integrity of the financial records. Comply with university, state, and federal policies and procedures. Interact with other personnel; provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses reports and recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Leadership & Business Operations Management - 35%
Personnel Management - 30%

Budget Management - 20%

University and Partner Relations - 10%

Other - 5%

Required Qualifications:

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
 

Additional Requirements:

  • Five years of progressively responsible business and personnel administration, including full employee life cycle experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, public or non-profit administration or research administration.
  • Experience managing operations in a higher education or research setting.
  • Experience with pre- and post-award grants and contracts administration.
