Associate Developer - Full-Stack (AI)

This role will work on a variety of projects ranging from student facing, faculty facing, process automation, AI chatbots, and other projects. You will be expected to develop frontend products, backend products, REST APIs, and generative AI tools. As many of our projects will utilize machine learning and natural language processing we expect a high level of interest in the application of these technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and document user interfaces supporting students, faculty, and staff
  • Develop, test and document the creation and management of virtual assistants and chat bots
  • Creation of rapid prototypes to prove feasibility of solutions to business problems 
  • Interface with business and end users to understand of business problems
  • Develop, test and document back end microservices
  • Develop, test and document operational monitoring software 
  • Develop, test and document REST based APIs
  • Consume REST based APIS
  • Develop, test and document reporting dashboard for metrics
  • Support ongoing maintenance of existing platform installations
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Skills:

  • Development utilizing ReactJS and NodeJS
  • Development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS
  • RDBMS development experience with BigQuery, CloudSQL, MySQL, SQL Server,  Oracle
  • NoSQL/Document database development with Datastore, MongoDB, etc.
  • Google Cloud Certifications a plus. 
  • Implementation of security and data protection

Work Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ experience with ReactJS and NodeJS
  • 2-3 years’ experience with UX design
  • 1-2 years’ experience developing and deploying cloud functions (GCP or AWS) 
  • 1-2 years’ experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • 1-3 years’ experience with databases such as BigQuery, MySQL, Oracle, Mongo, Datastore

Education:

  • From an accredited institution; Bachelor’s degree required in a computer related field.

  • N/A

Other:

  • Must be able to travel 10% of time.
  • Must be able to lift  15 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
  • Some travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations
  • Strong mental acuity
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
