We are looking to hire 3 individuals for this role. The Associate Biocuration Scientist will join a small team of Ph.D. biologists, computational biologists, experienced database managers in the Cherry Lab, and will work closely with external scientific and software developer colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to distill large, complex research and discussions into summaries and reports, for use within the Seed Networks, as well as documentation for the greater scientific community regarding effective use of the data. They will engage with the community, through published research and at scientific conferences, in order to understand the needs of data generators and data users. They will distill those needs into data resource requirements and features that will improve the accessibility and usability of data to researchers worldwide.
