Job Summary

Purdue University is looking for the right candidate to fill the role of Associate Application Developer with in the Krannert School of Management.  As the Associate Application Developer, you will serve as a Programmer/Analyst for application development activities. Develop new and maintain existing applications. Integrate 3rd party tools into our solutions and provide relevant support to stand alone 3rd party solutions. Plan, code, test, and debug software. Provide customer service through the use of systems analysis and design techniques to identify the requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing ones. Maintain system documentation. Participate in business process redesign and improvement activities supporting change, growth, and flexibility through demonstrated teamwork, communication, and problem solving.

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience. 
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in application development that includes the design of web, desktop, and/or mobile applications
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines
  • Firm knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, and JSON
  • Ability to interpret and document end-user information needs, formulate and plan for new system implementation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients

 

Preferred:

  • Skilled in effective requirements gathering, solution architecting, and task estimated
  • Skilled in programming and website development including website support, maintenance, and development
  • Understanding of fundamental User Experience best practices and an eye for design aesthetics is a plus
