Associate Administrator, Primary Care Region - Ambulatory Administration - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)
This position is responsible for the effective operations of Ambulatory Clinic services across Keck Medicine of USC. This position has responsibility for the administrative, business process and design, and clinical management/delivery of the Ambulatory services. This position also leads the planning of strategy for expansion and delivery of high-quality ambulatory clinic services. This position is responsible in delivering services that add value and integrates ambulatory services with the organization's strategic, business and operational goals and objectives. This position will assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of the ambulatory clinic service programs and ensure their financial viability, quality of service, efficient and effective operation. The Associate Administrator is responsible for ensuring consistency and accountability for the delivery of quality services and operational management of assigned area(s). The job encompasses integration, facilitation and coordination of the leadership, management, and operational services. This individual serves as a professional role model, leader, mentor and resource of the support services team. Consistently ensures that staff possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate services to meet the support services’ needs of USC Care satellite clinics and Keck Medicine of USC. The individual must consistently support the mission and values of the organization, and acts as a role model relative to the Hospitals. Advanced operational and managerial knowledge and experience in support services clinical administration.
Minimum Education: Required: • Bachelor’s degree required Preferred: • Master’s in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing or related field Minimum Experience/Knowledge: Required: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ambulatory care or healthcare setting or equivalent. • Minimum 5 years of management experience preferably in an outpatient operation in field of specialty • Excellent people management skills; strong organizational skills • Experience in creating business process improvement, standardization across multiple specialties. • Demonstrated project management experience in a health care setting. • Ability to measure and improve outcomes. • Familiarity with information systems, regulatory compliance issues, particularly for academic practices, and business operations for physician groups. • Good decision-making skills; ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands, clinical needs and budgetary constraints • Strong analytical skills • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills • Proficient in Microsoft office and relevant software applications • Working knowledge of information technology and ability to project manage information systems team • Expert analytical, organizational and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills • Familiar with Hospital facilities and systems, healthcare strategic issues. Preferred: • Ability to work with vendors, physicians and staff; • Familiar with capital planning or capital project management and/ or facilities management, planning and design principles, and construction delivery methods. • Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare regulations. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date (applicable to employees working within City of LA).
