Job Purpose
Directs technological and compliance staff in the Office of the Registrar. Manages technology and integration projects and directs development of metric reports, data integrity reports, dashboards, and oversees manual and automated reporting and certification processes. Reports to University Registrar.

Directs technological and compliance staff in the Office of the Registrar.     In collaboration with other Associate Registrars and Managers, directs development of metric reports, data integrity reports, dashboards, etc., to help manage day-to-day office processing.

Provides overall leadership and direction to staff.  Sets expectations & focus, assigns duties, delegates ‎‎responsibilities, evaluates activities, prepares performance ‎appraisals & professional development plans. Provides coaching, mentoring and teaching. Manages the ‎‎administrative process for assigned staff including hiring, ‎promotions, terminations, disciplinary procedures, and ‎and salary ‎‎adjustments. Provides ongoing performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans for staff. ‎‎‎Plans for future staffing needs.  Ensures cross-training to avoid reliance on a single individual.  Provides timely communications to staff. 

Directs manual and automated enrollment reporting and certification processes.  

Manages projects involving technology and its integration with business processes in the Office. Ensures timelines are met, project requirements and scope are documented, and that documentation is maintained to guide projects to successful completion. 

Supervises the routine acceptance testing of new releases of Banner, Event Management System, etc.  Ensures test plans developed by staff are complete, and that testing documentation presents an accurate assessment of the new software.  Recommends go/no go decisions on upgrades.  Work with C&IT to ensure most recent versions of software are installed and that local modifications are redeployed and tested. 

Represents the office on committees and work groups, as well as with other areas within the Provost’s Office, including Enrollment Management, C&IT, Student Success, and the schools, colleges and their academic units.  Acts as an effective collaborator to ensure that initiatives are effectively integrated into business processes of the Office. 

Acts as first level review for tuition assessment implementation.  

Coordinates responses to audits involving compliance issues, with both internal and external auditors.  Coordinates response to annual risk audit assessments.  Coordinates the updating and testing of the unit’s Business Continuity Plan.   

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Unique duties:
Qualifications:

Education   Bachelor's degree

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience   Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)

Requires 5 or more years higher education experience in the office of the Registrar, Admissions or Enrollment, including leadership experience.
