Operating Title Assistant Women's Ice Hockey Coach, Part-Time, Non-Benefited
Summary of Position
The Athletic Department at Keene State College is seeking applications for an Assistant Women’s Ice Hockey Coach. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with appointment dates from mid August to mid May.
Reporting to the Head Coach the successful candidate will assist with the administration and organization of this inaugural program that competes in the Little East Conference at the NCAA Division III level.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist with preparing, scheduling, and organizing of daily practice sessions, game preparation for competition and off-season training; recruiting of prospective student-athletes in accordance with the NCAA, Little East Conference, and Keene State College policies and procedures; promoting the program both on and off campus and complying with all NCAA Division III rules and regulations; provide general advising, mentoring and support to student-athletes, specifically in the realm of academics; engaging in regular consultation with athletic training personnel to maximize the safety and wellness of student-athletes; demonstrating concern for the overall welfare of student athletes at all times; engaging in ethical decision-making and outstanding sportsmanship; executing all these responsibilities in a manner that reflects an ongoing commitment to the excellence, integrity and success of the Women’s Ice Hockey program, of the Department of Athletics, and Keene State College.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and collegiate playing experience; knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven organizational and planning ability; knowledge of NCAA Division III and Little East Conference rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Four years experience playing at the NCAA level and/or coaching experience. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.
