Basic functions: The Assistant Video Coordinator, Football will assist with all aspects of the sports video operations for football. This includes film exchange, video capture, editing, production, equipment maintenance, and related support for coaches‚ and student-athletes’ use. Setup, videoing, and editing of all practices, games, and workouts. Setup and execution of position meetings in the football facility and at offsite locations for road games and bowl trips. Creation of highlight and motivational videos as needed. Assist in the coordination and training of a 12-15 Student staff and a Graduate Assistant. Fulfillment of any AV needs for other sports and departments as needed. Operation knowledge and troubleshooting ability of all technology used throughout the facility. This is NOT a Coaching Position.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Video Department
- Provide AV / Tech support to Coaches, Staff and all other personnel involved with Football
- Provide for the AV / Tech needs of the Student Athletes
- Coordinate and train a student staff of 12-15 and a Graduate Assistant
- Operation and maintenance of all video department equipment and all technology in our facility
- Setup, videoing, and editing of all practices, games, and workouts
- Creation of highlight and motivational videos
- Home/Road/Bowl setup and tear down.
- Travel to away games and bowl site
- Assist with the needs of other departments and sports while in our facility
- Other duties as necessary
Job Requirements
---
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
- 0 - 24 months athletic video or other related experience
Skills:
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong initiative to solve problems
- Communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University, and the community
- Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned tasks as both a leader and/or a follower
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, fans, student-athletes, coaches, and administrators
- Must have strong ability to lead project teams
- Ability to gain and maintain working knowledge of NCAA, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations
Certifications:
- Driver's license to operate university vehicles
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb, crouch, pull, push, engage in repetitive motions, communication, hear and see including color, depth perception and clarity.
