Position Overview: |
The Assistant Vice President for Health and Wellbeing will serve as a strategic leader on student health and wellness for the UMBC campus. The AVP will provide strategic oversight for health and wellbeing programs, which includes developing and managing a strategic wellness plan; engaging with faculty and campus partners; supervising Retriever Integrated Health, the Office of Health Promotions and the Director for Staff Culture and Wellbeing; and serving as an engaged member of the Student Affairs Senior Leadership Team. This position will focus deeply on enhancing the student experience and will provide leadership in reframing the view of wellbeing at UMBC. This includes fostering strategic connections with engagement, student success, student support and other key interrelated services and experiences. This position will leverage current health and wellness data and statistics to tell a story about the health and wellbeing of UMBC students and to guide strategic actions related to enhancing student wellness. |
