The Center for Family and Community Engagement is a public service and research center at North Carolina State University. The Center fosters family-community- academic partnerships that are relevant and responsive to families and communities. The Center builds these partnerships by supporting community engagement, offering training and technical assistance, and providing evaluation and research services. The Center works with interdisciplinary partners on the local, national, and global levels to improve family and community health and well-being.

Essential Job Duties
The Assistant Training Registrar will ensure the seamless execution of training programs by managing and maintaining accurate registration information within the learning management systems. This role involves providing high-level customer service, coordinating with various stakeholders, and securing both physical and virtual training environments. By supporting the organization and maintenance of essential documentation and offering technical and administrative support, the Assistant Training Registrar plays a crucial role in upholding the quality and efficiency of our training initiatives.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform backup duties related to registration and communication within the LMS on behalf of the Center and DSS employees.
  • Secure training site locations for in-person events and set up secure online training links for synchronous events.
  • Communicate with the Program Manager of Training, training team members, and other professionals regarding training events, calendars, and various needs.
  • Provide backup technical support for online training events, including support for synchronous online training hosted in Zoom and managing learner communication through email and the LMS (Moodle).
  • Support the organization and maintenance of Google Shared drive folders and related information.

Qualifications


Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
 
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct supervision.
  • Experience working with database systems, including information input and management.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office or Google Suite products.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders, as evidenced by positive feedback or performance reviews.
  • Familiarity with calendaring systems for scheduling and managing events.
  • Proven ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to changing technologies.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tasks and documentation.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service experiences, as demonstrated by customer satisfaction scores or testimonials.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with online meeting platforms such as Zoom for hosting and supporting virtual events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues in e-learning platforms, calendaring systems and video conferencing systems.
  • Proven ability to provide editing support for documentation updates
