Job Overview

This position will provide administrative support to the Director, Co-Directors, and staff in the Ohio Innocence Project (OIP) at the College of Law.   This position will act with minimal supervision and anticipate needs while managing OIP’s day-to-day workflow enabling the Director and Co-Directors to work more efficiently and effectively towards achieving OIP’s mission and goals.


Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintain collaborative, professional, and effective working relationships with key stakeholders.  
  • Utilize Concur to process expense reports, reimbursements, and travel.
  • Coordinate OIP accounts payable & receivable including exoneree speaking engagement and vendor payments.
  • Coordinate and prepare for OIP Board meetings, speeches, events, classroom instruction and projects.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling and prioritizing Director’s meetings, deadlines, presentations, and other deliverables; manage conflict resolution.
  • Monitor, screen, respond to and route incoming communications and email correspondence on behalf of the Director and Co-Directors; organize and prioritize action items and escalate relevant information as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality to privileged information and data; maintain confidential records.
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements for Director, Co-Director, attorneys, staff, and students for meetings, hearings, investigative trips, prison visits, etc.
  • Maintain database of OIP students, staff, alumni, clients, board members, and educational collaboration partners.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to students.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.  This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement


Required Experience

Three (3) years of relevant work experience
