|Summary of Duties||
The Moritz College of Law is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant to Associate Deans. The ideal candidate will provide primary administrative, communication, and organizational support to the Associate Deans for Academic Affairs and Faculty, as well as intermittent support to the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion.
Specific duties include but are not limited to providing day-to-day assistance such as answering phones, maintaining calendars, and arranging and submitting travel and reimbursement requests; drafting correspondence including emails and letters for ad-hoc appointments; running various reports for curriculum management and diversity; assisting the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with course descriptions and curriculum guides; coordinating teaching materials for adjunct and Associate Deans; assisting in coordinating events and meetings; updating master course spreadsheets and maintenance of faculty handbooks and rules; assisting students with inquiries and providing information. In addition, provides administrative support for annual activities, research assignments, and special projects. Assists with comprehensive training of office staff personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a term appointment.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a minimum of one year of experience supporting mid to upper level leadership; strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail; time management, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and solve problems; commitment to excellence with excellent judgment with regard to people and priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); self-starter and ability to work independently and lift up to 20 lbs.
Experience working in higher education with diverse populations; experience working with Ohio State systems, policies, and procedures.
