JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position in mathematics to begin Fall 2024 . This position will be filled at the rank of lecturer or assistant teaching professor depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. A M.S. degree or higher in mathematics or related quantitative/applied field is required. Responsibilities include teaching algebra and trigonometry through second-year calculus. Other courses may include linear algebra, differential equations, or calculus for engineering technology students, commensurate with degree and experience. The successful candidate is expected to: engage in scholarly activity; advise and mentor students; and perform service to the school and college. After an initial two-year appointment, the position is renewable, contingent upon enrollment demands and job performance.
