The Department of Applied Psychology at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University, New Brunswick is seeking an outstanding candidate for a non-tenure track, assistant teaching professor position to coordinate our applied behavior analysis (ABA) practicums. The successful candidate should have at least one year of teaching experience and mentoring students as well as professional practice experience in ABA. Furthermore, candidates will show capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of GSAPP and the professional community.
This faculty will provide oversight of all ABA practicum placements; thus, the candidate should be knowledgeable about the BCBA certification process. This role includes vetting and developing relationships with potential practicum sites, onboarding approved sites, and monitoring quality assurance to ensure exceptional student fieldwork experiences. The new faculty member will be also expected to teach graduate level courses in ABA and psychology as well as to contribute to student training at the master’s and doctoral levels. The ABA programs are approved Verified Course Sequences by the Association for Behavior Analysis, International. The faculty member will work effectively with a team of highly dedicated faculty members within the Department, GSAPP, Rutgers University, and the broader academic and professional community. The new faculty may have the opportunity for professional collaborations with faculty and staff at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center (DDDC) and Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services (RCAAS). Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
The successful candidate is expected to have:
A doctorate in ABA, psychology, or a related area
At least one year of teaching at an undergraduate and/or graduate level
BCBA/BCBA-D certification by September 1, 2024
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Behavior analyst with teaching experience
Knowledge of the BCBA certification requirements
Familiar with upcoming NJ licensure requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to be flexible and working in an environment of expansion and change

Overview
Identify and vet new practicum sites including conducting site visits
Monitor quality assurance of current practicum sites
Conduct practicum student observations at their site
Serve as faculty advisor/mentor to students, coordinate and evaluate academic advising of students

Immunization Requirements
