Position Details

The Department of Environmental Studies within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track position at the Assistant Teaching Professor level beginning in August 2024.

This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in non-majors courses (e.g., Environmental Science, Biodiversity Conservation, Urban Sustainability) with the opportunity to contribute to introductory courses for Environmental Studies majors. Area of expertise for this position is open.

The department is interested in attracting candidates with expertise in the natural and social sciences as they relate to environmental issues. Opportunities for collaborative research involving undergraduates and current members of the faculty are possible using research space and equipment that may be made available by on-campus collaborators.

Qualifications

PhD preferred (strong ABD candidates considered), prior teaching experience with undergraduates is desirable.  A personal commitment to quality undergraduate teaching and advising is essential.
