The Schmidthorst College of Business and the Department of Accounting and Management Information invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor, 1-year non-renewable academic appointment (non-tenure track) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Maurer Center, a newly renovated 50,000 square foot building in the center of campus. Essential Functions

Primary teaching responsibility is accounting courses at the undergraduate and possibly graduate level; and involvement in department and college service activities is expected. Candidates will be expected to teach four 3-credit hour courses per semester.


Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a MAcc, MS or MBA degree in a related business field from an AACSB International accredited business school and related recent work experience.
Candidate must meet the College’s requirements for AACSB qualification to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications 
Evidence of successful teaching experience at the college-level desired, graduate and well as undergraduate teaching experience will be preferred. CPA designation is preferred.
Candidates will be evaluated on teaching potential, their professional experience, and their potential to contribute to the programs in the Department of Accounting and MIS and the mission of the Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business and Bowling Green State University.
