The Department of Microbiology & Plant Pathology at the University of California invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Specialist to conduct applied research for the Glassman Lab in Riverside, CA. This position will start on 10/1/2024. The purpose of this position is to conduct research related to fungal genomics.

The current base pay range for this position is $59,200 - $65,900.

Basic qualifications for this position that must be met by the date of application include: PhD in fungal genomics and at least 6 years post PHD experience.

Additional qualifications for this position that must be met by the date of hire include: Expertise in fungal genomics including assembly and annotation of Pac Bio Hi Fi genomes.

Preferred qualifications for this position include: None
