About the Department | The Closed-Loop Engineering for Advanced Rehabilitation (CLEAR) initiative, located within the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at NC State University and UNC – Chapel Hill, embodies a visionary approach. CLEAR is dedicated to three interconnected pillars: 1) Mechanics, 2) Control and Learning, and 3) Perception and Cognition. The seamless integration of these focal areas will allow for unprecedented advances in human-machine symbiosis to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. |
