The Assistant Registrar for Registration and Scheduling is a direct report to the Associate Registrar and is a member of the Registrar’s leadership team. The incumbent is expected to set operations for registration system process and the schedule building process that supports the university’s mission and includes recommending and implementing process improvements to make the functions more efficient and service oriented.
- Responsible for providing efficient support, troubleshooting, and enhancement recommendations for registration and scheduling systems and processes
- Coordinates the class schedule building process, trains the College’s class schedule builders, and develops each semester’s registration sequence and class schedule
- Provide strategy and oversight of setup and processes within the student information system and other systems used to support registration
- Responsible for academic classroom scheduling, including providing strategy for efficient scheduling
- Collaborate with academic departments in planning course offerings using scheduling software for strategic evaluation of the scheduling process to better align with student needs
- Supervises and coordinates the work of support staff: Clerical Specialist, the Student Service Counselor position that handles residency and tuition appeals; and the Registration Operations Project Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Degree must be conferred upon application.
The following experience is required:
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- 2 years of Higher Education experience
Preferred experience:
- 2 years of experience Admissions, Enrollment Management, Registrar, or Advising within Higher Education.
Salary
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 355. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- Experience with Course Classroom Scheduling and Student Information System Registration configuration.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs.
- Ability to maintain good customer relations with partners.
