Position Summary:

The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the audit of degree plans, the verification the accuracy of data input into the student academic record, and the implementation of registration processes.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Program degree audit software
  • Program diploma software
  • Code and review Intent to Gradate cards
  • Request, track and review graduation check sheets
  • Clear students for graduation
  • Notify students and departments of graduation requirement problems
  • Work with students and departments to clear graduation requirements; post degrees
  • Provide graduation assistance: Assist with graduation planning and ceremony preparation; print diplomas and replacement diplomas; attend all graduation ceremonies
  • Coordinate the awarding of en route associate degree
  • Order and track graduation supplies
  • Maintain an up-to-date procedure manual
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of computers and software application programs, database management and basic accounting principles, and registration processes
Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews, plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program, and counsel students and families


General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in higher education administration


Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee
