Position Summary
The Department of Urban and Regional Planning in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor.

Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning or in any related area.

Qualifications
  • Research and scholarship focus on the domains of climate and sustainability, transportation and the environment, and community resilience.
  • The ideal candidate’s work may draw on a range of disciplinary and methodological approaches.
  • Scholarly work that demonstrates collaboration with historically marginalized communities is a plus.
  • Applicants who can help advance the department’s efforts to address justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion is a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in planning law, environmental policy, science-policy interactions and transportation systems, and environmental change.
  • Develop new elective courses at the intersections of policy, management, environment and sustainability, and social justice and equity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
