The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applicants for tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant professor level to develop a creative and innovative research program, to attract external funding, to provide research training for graduate and undergraduate students, and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.

What You Should Know

As part of the University of Colorado Boulder’s deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, the campus has implemented a reference check pilot program with respect to final candidates for tenured faculty appointments. The reference check pilot program is intended to allow CU Boulder to collect and review information about a candidate's conduct at their previous institutions, specifically conduct related to sexual misconduct, harassment, and/or discrimination – before making hiring decisions. All final candidates for tenured faculty appointments are required to complete an Authorization to Release Information.

The anticipated start date for this position will be fall 2024 semester, August 2024.

What We Require

  • Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Research Experience, and a strong publication record.
    • Ph.D. field of study: Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Structural Biology, Computational Biology, Chemical Biology or related field.

  • A compelling research program that is competitive for private and federal funding; leadership skills.
