Position Highlights The University of Arizona seeks a qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Professor for our Tucson area location. Responsibilities include: Assistant Professor will be assigned to teach 4-6 credit hours per year, distributed over graduate and undergraduate courses using the knowledge of Acquisition and Interpretation of Experimental Data Using NMR Spectroscopy and Cryo-Electron Microscopy; Advanced Biophysical Analysis of Biomolecules and Biochemical Protein Aggregation Assays; Protein Expression & Purification anays; and Computational Analysis and Representaion of Complex Data, Including Kinetics and Protein Structure. The position requires a PhD in Physical Chemistry with an emphasis in Biological NMR, related Science field, or foreign equivalent and 5 years’ experience Postdoctoral Fellow. Duties & Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a vigorous, productive and nationally and internationally recognized research program
Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to innovation in curricular development
Mentor students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds
Participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and university service
Develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with
community and business partners

Minimum Qualifications
  • The position requires a PhD in Physical Chemistry with an emphasis in Biological NMR, related Science field, or foreign equivalent and 5 years’ experience Postdoctoral Fellow.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Established experience in working with diverse communities
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring
  • Experience obtaining external research funding
