Position Description

Instructor/Assistant Professor of Finance

The Department of Finance in the College of Business, University of Louisville, seeks qualified applicants for two full-time, non-tenure faculty positions to begin August 2022.  Appointment will be at the rank of instructor, assistant professor, or associate professor, dependent upon academic credentials and experience.  The successful candidates will teach online and face-to-face classes in a variety of finance topics at the undergraduate level and provide university service.  There may be opportunities to teach graduate courses dependent upon expertise and interest.  The positions are open to any area of specialization.

Qualifications

For appointment at the rank of instructor, candidates must possess a master's degree in finance or a closely related field, or an MBA, and have significant professional experience in finance.  For appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor, candidates must hold a PhD in finance.  All candidates should have teaching experience at the university level.  The ability to develop and teach online courses will also be a strong consideration.  CFA certification is preferred.
