Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, in conjunction with the Pediatric Research Institute and Norton Children's Research Institute (NCRI), is recruiting a Pediatric Research Scientist for a faculty position.

The successful candidate will join our growing team of scientists and physician-scientists who conduct nationally recognized pediatric research. The Division of Endocrinology provides comprehensive general endocrinology and diabetes care, as well as actively advancing the field of endocrinology through clinical and translational research trials.  Norton Children's Research Institute (NCRI), affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, provides comprehensive research support services across all pediatric divisions, and includes a team of investigators who both provide mentorship and lead their own independent research programs. NCRI currently has over 170 clinical studies open for enrollment and includes a staff of over 70.

Duties will primarily involve conducting research related to islet cell biology and diabetes, as well as mentorship for junior faculty and trainees.  Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
