The Department of Economics in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor. The search is primarily focused on the field of macroeconomics. In addition, we welcome applications from exceptional advanced assistant candidates in development economics, household finance, industrial organization, or labor economics.
The beginning date for the position is August 2024.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. and pursue a high-quality research program with the objective of publishing in top-tier general interest and field journals. Candidates must also demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load will initially be three courses per year, and junior faculty are given minimal service requirements.

The Department of Economics is housed within Lerner College and offers BA and BS degrees in economics, a BA in economic education, a 4+1 BS in economics + MS in economics, a 4+1 BS in mathematics and economics + MS in economics, an undergraduate economics minor, an MA in economics and entrepreneurship for educators, an MS in economics and applied econometrics, and a PhD in economics.
