Summary of Position
Keene State College’s Business Management Department seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2024. Our mission is to prepare graduates with the business management skills required to solve complex problems in an increasingly competitive global environment while developing a holistic liberal arts background. Our faculty members have a long history of working closely with local businesses through our internships, community workshops, and service-learning projects.
The successful candidate will be prepared to teach the required Accounting and Finance courses for the majors and minors, with the possibility of teaching other department courses. The teaching load is three 4 credit courses per academic semester. Faculty may also have an opportunity to teach courses in the College’s Integrative Studies Program. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental activities and campus-wide service, maintaining an active record of scholarship, and engaging in professional development. The right candidate should have an interest in developing collaborative partnerships with students, colleagues, and local practitioners.
The Business Management Department consists of 6 faculty and more than 275 majors, 150 shared majors, and 100 minors. Our faculty members work closely with local businesses through our internships, community workshops, and service-learning projects. We are located at the academic center of campus, close to Keene’s Main Street, a lively downtown with restaurants and boutiques that is the heart of the Monadnock Region’s vibrant and diverse economy.
Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds, with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience they develop critical thinking, creative inquiry, intercultural competence, civic engagement, and commitments to well-being and to sustainability that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Earned Doctorate in Accounting, Financial Management or related discipline, master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management or related discipline with an active CPA designation will also be considered. Evidence of scholarship in the field. ABD near completion will be considered but must be complete by August 1, 2024. Teaching experience at the college or university level, professional work experience in a non-academic position is a plus.

Salary Information
Salary is in accordance with the prevailing Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement; rank minimum for fall 2024 is $75,230 for Assistant Professor. Salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
