Assistant Professor - Sustainable Energy Transitions & Climate Justice

The Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU) seeks an innovative scholar at the assistant professor level whose research encompasses sustainable energy transitions and climate justice. The ideal candidate will employ social science and policy research aimed at advancing just energy transitions. We value transdisciplinary, team-based, convergent research, and/or community-engaged scholarship and research oriented to social action.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a PhD in Geography or a related discipline. The successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate a vigorous, independent research program, to teach in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability (the standard load is 2-2), and to contribute to mentorship and advisement for students in our growing graduate program.
