Position Summary
The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month non-tenure track Assistant Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Our expectation is that this continuing appointment will be ongoing assuming satisfactory performance and adequate financial support for the position.
The Small Animal Internal Medicine position is responsible for the management of the Small Animal Internal Medicine caseload at the VTH. This position will support both clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM program, graduate student/resident and fellow training, and research in Small Animal Internal Medicine. The position also supports an important clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) both in terms of client service and revenue generation. This faculty position will provide up to 36 weeks of clinical service. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the college and university and it is expected that the successful candidate will participate in collaborative research. There are opportunities to develop an impactful independent research program as well.

Required Job Qualifications
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine by the time the appointment is started

Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree and/or postdoctoral research experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of small or large group teaching experience, teaching awards, and/or additional training/certification in education.
