The Conway Medical Center College of Health and Human Performance at Coastal Carolina University, Department of Recreation and Sport Management, announces one (1) full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2024.
The Recreation and Sport Management department seeks highly qualified individuals who will play integral roles in the continued growth and development of rapidly expanding programs in recreation and sport management. Candidates must possess an earned Doctorate in Recreation, Sport Management, or highly related discipline (ABD considered); excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly productivity; and community/public engagement. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, undergraduate/graduate student advisement, mentoring undergraduate/graduate student research, establishing a record of scholarship and professional service/outreach, commitment to program assessment and accreditation, and collaborating with related academic programs. In addition, successful candidates should demonstrate research and teaching expertise in the following areas, respectively: Sport Finance; Sport Marketing; Sales; Sport Analytics; Entrepreneurship; Sport Consumer Behavior, or related areas.
