Job Duties
This Assistant Professor position will assist and develop upcoming research programs in the Neuropsychiatry division of the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
- Develop an active research program and grow this through acquisition of extramural funding
- Represent the university of national and international conferences
- Develop and present materials for education in cutting edge research topics within the field of neuropsychiatry
- Develop research and educational collaborations with researchers within and outside of the college
- Publish research findings in high impact scientific journals
- Supervise and coordinate the research activities of trainees and other research staff
- Attend faculty and departmental meetings and voicing concerns or providing suggestions for improvement.
- Training undergraduate and graduate students.
- Providing demonstrations and supervising experiments and investigations.
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring new research staff and other junior staff.
- Providing Professors and Department Heads with feedback on research program progress.
- Writing proposals to secure funding for research.
- Generate reviews and meta-analyses of the literature to drive and support compelling and innovative research studies.
- Develop computational tools to assist with data analysis.
- Assist research coordinators with procurement of necessary equipment for studies.
- Assist research coordinators with development and testing of research study standard operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Neuroscience or Psychology (Experimental or Cognitive)
