ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-PROFESSOR

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School seeks a PhD-trained faculty member to join 9 faculty in the Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. The new faculty member will develop and grow an independent research program aligned with developmental and behavioral pediatrics topics. Aligned with Medical School promotion criteria on the tenure track, the individual is expected to build a research program characterized by a thematically coherent body of work, robust independent external funding, a national reputation, and a robust publication record. The faculty member is expected to grow a robust portfolio supported by sustained federal extramural funding and to engage as a Co-Investigator in thematically-aligned collaborative research with other faculty in the division, the department, and the university. The division has a strong fellowship training program for physicians in developmental-behavioral pediatrics; this position will provide research mentoring and teaching to these fellows. Also aligned with tenure track promotion criteria, the faculty member is expected to demonstrate organizational citizenship and engage in national service roles (e.g., reviewer, committees, boards). Overall, the faculty member is expected to contribute to elevating the research training and national reputation of the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.. The division has a sustained history of extramural federal research funding and multiple faculty engaged extensively in the research mission.
