Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

 

A full-time faculty position is available in the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  The Section of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery/Burn Surgery has an opening in a well-balanced and multispecialty group of providers. As part of UC Health, our division of Plastic Surgery serves a broad population and is the sole academic health system in the southwestern Ohio region, including patients from northern Kentucky, eastern Indiana, and southern Ohio. UC Medical Center offers Quaternary Care and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in our region.

Essential Functions

Duties will include responsibilities for the clinical ambulatory clinics, and operating room, research and teaching conference activities for our students, residents and fellows.


Minimum Requirements

 

• Eligible for full, unrestricted licensure in the state of Ohio

• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine

• Completion of residency in Plastic Surgery


Additional Qualifications Considered

 

• Fellowship trained plastic surgeon in hand and microvascular surgery. 

• Excellent clinical and communication skills

• CAQH eligibility highly desirable
