The Departments of Pediatrics and Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), seeks a psychologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to join our expanding Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine Section.  We are comprised of a group of dedicated, nationally and internationally renowned faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

This position will provide child health psychology services with clinical work in outpatient chronic pain and headache clinics treating youth with a wide range of pain problems including headaches, abdominal pain, post-concussive syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, myofascial pain, autonomic disorders and generalized pain associated disability. Psychologists work in an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians and advanced practice nurses. Clinical activities include interdisciplinary intake evaluations, outpatient therapy with a primary focus on cognitive behavioral and family systems approaches, biofeedback, collaboration with schools, group therapy, collaboration with health care providers, and care coordination. There are also opportunities for teaching and supervision of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, and pain related research. Specialized training, including a fellowship in pediatric psychology is preferred.

The Jane B. Pettit Pain & Headache Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is a nationally recognized pain program specializing in the evaluation and treatment of youth with chronic pain conditions and headaches.

Eligible candidates should have a PhD or PsyD from an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology or neuropsychology program; candidates must also be licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin.

Eligible candidates should also have experience in the practice of health psychology, and be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team within an inpatient consultation-liaison service or an outpatient medical specialty clinic.
