Job Summary
The Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University seeks a full-time Assistant Professor (Clinical Track) to function as a Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC).
ETSU Pediatrics has a decade-long history of integrating behavioral health providers into primary care. The department has two busy pediatric primary care clinics (Johnson City and Elizabethton) whose mission is to serve a high-needs and often rural population. Physicians and other team members highly value and access BHCs as a part of their care for families. A faculty Director of Behavioral Health coordinates and supports integrated behavioral health services and BHCs across the department. BHCs are built into numerous clinical pathways and serve as core members of the primary care team. The clinic has established relationships with the ETSU Department of Psychology and the Department of Social Work and regularly trains graduate students from these programs to serve in BHC and case management roles.
