Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University is located northwest of Atlanta and serves approximately 9,000 students. Located in the Northwest of metro Atlanta, Michael J. Job Summary
 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Hospitality Management faculty position in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality that begins August 2024. This is a nine-month contracted position.  This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.


Responsibilities
 
  • Serve as the Program Director of the Hospitality Program
  • Work closely with the leadership of the Leven School and the Coles College to pursue strategic objectives for the program. 
  • Lead the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of the program and establish a working group to review and improve curriculum including curriculum development and assessment of learning (AOL).
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor students for the Hospitality degree program.
  • Engage with hospitality industry practitioners, organizations, and other external stakeholders to secure support and sponsorship for the program.
  • Facilitate internships and job placement opportunities for students in the program.
  • Engage with complementary centers/programs across and beyond the university. 
  • Engage in high-quality scholarship. 
  • Teach classes in the program as required. 
  • Coordinate scheduling with the director / or associate director. 
  • Provide regular program updates to the Coles College and Leven School 
  • Professional service to the department, college, and university is expected. 
     

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.


Required Qualifications
 
  • An earned doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in business administration, hospitality management, management, human environmental sciences, or a related discipline is required.

NOTE: For ABDs, the required degree must be earned by the start date.

    • An earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited college/school
    • A record of conducting high-quality teaching and research in hospitality management.
    • Interest, training, and/or experience in hybrid and online teaching modalities is desirable.
