Job Description

Direct and develop the School of Music's new degree in Sound Recording Technology. Teach undergraduate courses in Sound Recording Technology. Teaching areas will include, but are not limited to, courses in music technology including Introduction to DAW, Audio Recording, Live Sound Reinforcement, Mixing Techniques and Practicum courses. Recruit and retain students in the degree program. Additional teaching duties based on the candidate's expertise and needs of the School of Music.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Music, Doctorate preferred, from a regionally accredited institution or university required. Expertise in teaching courses in Sound Recording Technology and related areas at the university level. Demonstrated success as a recording engineer.

RANK:

Assistant Professor with terminal degree in Music - Tenure track; Assistant Professor of Practice with Master's degree in Music - Non-Tenure Track.
