Position Summary
The School of Music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Voice and Choral Music. We seek an artist/teacher committed to working with students from diverse musical, social, and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and versatile musician-teacher with experience of providing access and excellence for all students. They will be a skilled teacher of students at the collegiate level and will fulfill duties and responsibilities commensurate with an academic position at a leading institution. The successful candidate will teach voice, diction, and direct UNCG’s treble ensemble, Coro di Belle Voce. As a member of the School of Music Faculty, the Assistant Professor of Voice and Choral Music will contribute to ongoing equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives in the School.
Minimum Qualifications: Master of Music degree; Experience teaching voice at the collegiate level; Experience conducting choral ensembles; Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a team member at UNCG.

· Ability to teach other coursework depending on candidate’s expertise and needs of the School of Music
· Ability to teach lyric diction
· Performance experience in a variety of genres and musical styles
· Demonstrated experience in advancing equity and inclusivity in teaching and
professional/creative practice, and experience mentoring diverse populations of students.

      • At least 1 recording in another style such as popular music, commercial/contemporary music, musical theater, gospel or jazz.
    • Recordings of Choral Conducting (2)
      • At least one unedited rehearsal about 10-15 minutes
      • At least one recording of a choral performance

**Videos of choral rehearsal and performance should be from the ensemble’s perspective (i.e., facing the front of the conductor)
