Position Summary | The School of Music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Voice and Choral Music. We seek an artist/teacher committed to working with students from diverse musical, social, and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and versatile musician-teacher with experience of providing access and excellence for all students. They will be a skilled teacher of students at the collegiate level and will fulfill duties and responsibilities commensurate with an academic position at a leading institution. The successful candidate will teach voice, diction, and direct UNCG’s treble ensemble, Coro di Belle Voce. As a member of the School of Music Faculty, the Assistant Professor of Voice and Choral Music will contribute to ongoing equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives in the School. Minimum Qualifications: Master of Music degree; Experience teaching voice at the collegiate level; Experience conducting choral ensembles; Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a team member at UNCG. |

Preferred Qualifications | · DMA or equivalent professional experience · Emerging national reputation · Ability to teach other coursework depending on candidate’s expertise and needs of the School of Music · Ability to teach lyric diction · Performance experience in a variety of genres and musical styles · Demonstrated experience in advancing equity and inclusivity in teaching and professional/creative practice, and experience mentoring diverse populations of students. |
