Assistant Professor

Position Description        

The Department of Statistics at the University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor. We seek creative statisticians with an interest in developing novel methodology that complements our strengths in spatio-temporal statistics, environmental and ecological statistics, federal statistics, biostatistics, or machine learning.  Candidates should have a strong methodological foundation and have a demonstrated commitment to creating innovative approaches, theoretically sound methodology, and computational tools.


Qualifications
 

Applicants from all areas of statistics are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

A doctorate in statistics or biostatistics or related field by August 15, 2022.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

their excellence in teaching, outstanding research potential, and excellent communication skills.
