Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a tenure track appointment in Clinical or Counseling Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. Start date: August, 2024.
IU South Bend faculty members are expected to teach twelve credit hours each fall and spring at 100% FTE. Tenure track faculty receive 25% FTE reassigned time pre-tenure to engage in scholarly and creative activity. Tenured faculty members may request continued reassigned time to through established protocols and procedures. Most of our courses are in-person, however faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online. The psychology department serves approximately 200 undergraduate majors.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in university service activities, such as attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees.

Basic Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in a clinical area of psychology. Advanced ABD candidates considered with evidence that degree is expected to be awarded by August 2024.
  • Ability to teach Introductory Psychology, undergraduate Abnormal Psychology, and upper-level undergraduate courses related to Clinical Psychology.
  • Supervision of undergraduate research related to Clinical and Counseling Psychology.
  • An active and sustained program of research related to candidate’s specialization is required.
