Job Summary
Position Description
 
The Economics Program at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice (non-tenure-track). The position involves teaching three organized, evening economics courses per semester and providing service contributions to Economics by directing and recruiting students for the MS program. The ideal candidate should be experienced in university instruction at the graduate and undergraduate levels and be able to teach electives suitable for an MS terminal degree.
 
The appointment commences for the fall 2024 semester.
 
Qualifications
 
Minimum Education and Experience. Applicants must have completed their PhD at the time of application. Applicants with industry experience and evidence of high-quality teaching will be given priority.  Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to produce research and scholarly or creative achievements that enhance the program and the discipline, and able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
