Anderson University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month position in the College of Arts and Sciences to serve at the assistant professor level in the Department of History and Political Science beginning in August 2023.  Candidates should have a demonstrated interest and ability to teach a wide range of courses in both American politics and public policy.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach in person and online courses in areas such as American political institutions, American political processes, American political behavior, American public policy, and research methods.  Preference will be given to those candidates who could also teach courses in either geography or history. An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; an ABD may be considered. Faculty rank and status (tenure track or professional path) will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
