The Physician Assistant program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a fulltime ranked faculty member.
St. Kate’s is the largest private women’s college in the nation, ranked #1 among Minnesota Private Colleges for social mobility. The purpose of this position is to support students in their clinical experiences. The ranked faculty member will support the coordination of the clinical practicum components of the program, including student placement, clinical examinations, evaluation of clinical instruction, and assessment of student progress throughout the professional phase.
Responsibilities:
  • The recruitment, development, and maintenance of clinical affiliates for required supervised clinical experiences. This includes coordination of clinical site placements, oversight of the Integrated Clinical Experience (ICE) curricular thread, and clinical and community outreach.
  • Teaching in areas of expertise and participating in skills instruction, student evaluation, advising, and remediation are also expected.
  • Participate in student admission and selection processes, student advising for research, masters, and clinical quality improvement projects.
  • Assisting with accreditation preparation and maintenance.
  • Participant in activities that may contribute to activities or programs of a variety of stakeholders, such as the Program/Department, School, College, University, or professional organizations in state/regional/community settings, or national/international settings.
  • Participate in professional activities that help strengthen practice-oriented instruction.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in any health related field
  • If applicable, a license/certification in their field of practice
  • Two years of experience in their field of practice or in education setting
  • Comfort and familiarity with a range of software programs, including Google and Microsoft products

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an academic setting, teaching, or the coordination of graduate-level health care students is strongly preferred.
