The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a nine month, core faculty position that emphasizes teaching of graduate courses in physical therapy, with a strong background in successful teaching and scholarly activities. This is a 9-month appointment. This appointment is tenure-track for applicants holding a Ph.D.

Candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues. Desired area of expertise and teaching background include the Neuromuscular Physical Therapy Track. Experiences teaching in neurophysiology and neuroanatomy and possibly neuromuscular clinical exam and management preferred. Additionally, there may be the possibility of teaching/co-teaching in the summer if so desired. Candidates should be dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and service with a strong commitment to high professional standards.
Terminal academic degree (Ph.D.) preferred. Post-professional master’s degree or clinical doctorate with demonstrated clinical expertise and plans to obtain a terminal academic degree will be considered.
1) Advanced clinical competency such as fellowship/residency training or ABPTS certification; 2) an established record of academic or clinical teaching experience preferred; 3) eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Texas
